Handgun 103: Gunfighting Fundamentals

CLASS SIZE IS LIMITED / PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED

This class is designed to help you develop skills that are critical to gunfighting.  Instead of simply standing inside a shooting range stall, you will be moving, sitting, knealing, and hiding while operating a handgun.  Our force-on-force scenarios will use specialized training firearms to let you experience real world stressors and build confidence in your abilities.

Topics / Skills will include:

• Drawing handgun from concealment (including sitting, hiding and moving)
• Carry positions for movement / resting
• Shooting from non-traditional positions / cover
• Reloading under stress / injury
• Handling firearm malfunctions while under stress
• Communicating during a violent encounter
• Avoidance and escape techniques

IMPORTANT:

This is an active class.  Students must dress accordingly:

• Sneakers / Boots / Athletic shoes - no sandals or crocs
• Long pants WITH BELT
• Long sleeve shirt - hoodie or sweatshirt recommended for force-on-force scenarios
• Work gloves / Gardening gloves / Mechanix style gloves 

All training firearms and safety equipment will be provided - NO LIVE FIREARMS ALLOWED IN CLASS AREA
